The Green Man offers a full menu of great British pub food by our incredible kitchen team

as well as bar snacks & delicious desserts designed by Great British Bake Off Winner Candice Brown.

Here at The Green Man we love using fresh, seasonal and local produce whenever possible.

Our menu is subject to change daily but is changed on a monthly basis so we are able to stay seasonal and fresh throughout the year.

Please ensure you call or use the booking link below to book a table for any group size. We get booked up especially on a weekend and can’t always accommodate walk-ins.

Terms & Conditions

Bookings of all sizes must provide card details at the time of booking, bookings of 5 or less will not be charged ahead of their visit.

Bookings of 6 and up will be required to pay a deposit of £10 per person as well as a pre order to secure their booking.

We require 48 hours notice for all cancellations.

Cancellations at shorter notice than 48 hours will be charged £10 per guest listed on the booking.

No shows on the day will be charged £10 per guest listed on the booking.

We do welcome dogs into our 'pub dining' area, please select this option when booking and note you intend to bring a dog along with you.

We do charge cakeage for any celebration cakes being bought in for ‘cut and serve’ within the premises.

All December bookings will require a £10 per head deposit to secure the booking, this can be done via our ‘Reservation' section below or over the phone with a member of the Team

There will also be a 10% discretionary service charge applicable to all Christmas bookings all of which goes directly to the Front of House and Kitchen staff

Now, although we do not class ourselves as a ‘Sports Pub’ we love to support all Teams whether this if football, netball, F1, cricket or rugby. So why not pop down and support your Team whist enjoying a freshly cooked Eversholt Sausage Roll and ice cold beer or wine.

The Green Man has had

a face lift

Updating a community pub that’s been around for nearly 200 years is a big job. Candice and Ben want to give their community a beautiful modern pub that also respects the history of our building. And what a history that is. Like most pubs The Green Man has a colourful past. It may have started its life as way for a charity to build a local library and support the church, but it also played host to sheep rustlers and a petticoat thief.

Since taking over in 2018, the inside of the pub has received an update, with a fresh look and cosy feel in the snug and bar area. An extension has been added to the rear of the building, using up the previously unpopular part of the courtyard and putting it to better use. This extension now houses a new dedicated restaurant area, complete with its own bar focused on restaurant guests. This new room is also capable of catering for parties and private gatherings, it has slick and stylish feel in contrast to the traditional pub feel to the front of the building.

Finally the courtyard has been mostly made one level, to ensure easy access and a seamless transition from inside to outside which is perfect for the bifold doors that lead out from the restaurant area, perfect for summer days!

Our brother and sister landlords, Candice and Ben have pubs in their blood. After growing up in a pub it’s probably no surprise that when the chance to own one of their own came up, they jumped at it. They want The Green Man to be a pub for the whole community, where you bring your kids, your dogs and Nan for some great pub grub and a few pints. We have a fabulous team here who await your arrival.

Whether it’s a crisp pint of lager after a long day at work or rich gravy on a Sunday roast - a pub is about comfort - it’s a home away from home where everyone is welcome. You might have seen my cooking on The Great British Bake Off but The Green Man is your chance to taste it.

We grew up in the pubs that Mum and Dad ran. We watched Dad pluck pheasants, skin rabbits and joint meat for Mum’s delicious pies. Now it’s our turn. I want The Green Man to be the sort of pub I remember. A place where you stop by for half, lose track of time and end up staying for dinner.
